About barbara
Barbara Seipp is a contemporary realist painter mainly using oils and watercolors. Her work aims to capture human experience and expression in both its subtle and unsubtle forms. She is a veteran of the Portland fashion world having had her own line of apparel and store, Isaac Hers, for 7 years. This work with textiles has inspired her experimentation with fabric, shape and color theory in her ball sculptures and textural landscapes, creating a sense of space, movement and organic harmony. In all of her work, fashion and contemporary design remain strong influences.
Barbara has degrees in Industrial Engineering from Rensselear Polytechnic Institute and a J.D. From Lewis and Clark Law School.
Currently, Barbara is a resident of Bend, Oregon working full-time from her home studio
